The Wicklow Escape also known as a foodie haven is a unique and beautiful lodge nestled high in the Wicklow Mountains.
This is the perfect place to go and feel at one with yourself. The food is organic and locally sourced from the surrounding farms and the on-site vegetable garden, making it as fresh and pure as you can get. Water is sourced from a local spring and the dining experience in itself is truly unforgettable. There is a complete feeling of switching off at The Wicklow Escape, and this will be an opportunity to create a deep connection with yourself and nature.
The Garden Room Cabins – (king-size or twin) offer privacy and high levels of comfort, enabling you to fully relax and unwind. Open the door in the morning and step directly into nature (the sounds of the birds are out of this world). The rooms are peaceful and comfortable, with a focus on sustainability. En suite bathrooms with rain head shower fed with Wicklow spring water invigorates and leaves a glowing shine. Extra-large luxurious beds, comfy pillows, and soft white linen encourage deep sleep. Unique touches such as original wooden floorboards, handmade furniture, fresh French press coffee, gourmet nibbles on hand, along with specially selected pampering treats offer a welcoming surprise to help you make your stay memorable.
Group Garden Rooms – This shared garden room contains two luxury bunk beds including privacy curtains and individual reading lamps to help you relax into a slumber of dreams. The en suite bathroom features a rain-head walk in shower with gorgeous eco products and fluffy towels.
Cottage – The recently renovated cottage is perfect for a group of friends or two couples. The two bedroom cottage has a small living room space and open fire. The bathroom features a rain-head walk in shower with gorgeous eco products and fluffy towels. Each room has bespoke handmade furniture, fluffy robes, tea tables, alpaca blankets and five star beds.
Your experience begins as soon you walk in the door, with a welcome drink and snack on arrival. Each night, we will sit together at the chef’s long table for a 3-course meal (including 2 glasses of wine). Menus feature local meat or sustainably caught fish for the main event, with a full plant-based and gluten-free menu available with advance notice.
We will start our days with a healthy breakfast, smoothie and coffee & tea. The offering will set you up for the day, no matter what your appetite desires.
Sometimes what you really need is to relax and do absolutely nothing. There will be plenty of off opportunities at The Escape with the best beds in Wicklow, giant bean bags and silk hammocks, so you can take time for yourself and unwind. While we would encourage you to participate in all activities, they are optional, so if you would prefer some time to yourself to relax, please take it.
The wood-fired hot tub will be available to all guests. Water is drawn directly from a spring in the mountain and the timber is sourced from the forest. The experience is fantastic for soaking away your tension, whatever the weather! The canopy of oak trees provides great shelter, but you can still see a sky full of stars.
